Formatting Diskettes

· From the desktop, left click on the START button (Bottom left corner of the screen).

· Select “RUN”.

· In the “OPEN” box type in “explorer” and click the OK button.

· Windows EXPLORER will show up similar to the screen below:

· Move up or down the left windowpane until you find the 3 ½ Floppy (A:).

· Insert a floppy disk into drive.

· Right click on 3 ½ Floppy (A:) and select “Format…” from the submenu.

• Make the selections as follows and click the Start button:

• Repeat as necessary.
• Click on the “Close” button when complete.
